Support ISHR | Celebrate equality and inclusion by supporting a human rights defender today

Support ISHR's June fundraising appeal to help human rights defenders pursue their work across the globe.

Today, as always, people need the freedom to be who they are and love who they want. As Pride Month unfolds in many parts of the world, let’s celebrate and encourage the brave defenders who work tirelessly to protect the rights of LGBTI people and to achieve equality and inclusion.

Many LGBTI rights activists live in restrictive environments where they face attacks and intimidations from both State and non-State actors. With your support, we will provide these defenders with a full package of knowledge, connections and opportunities to make their voice heard – for greater impact in their local communities.

In fact, here at ISHR, there is nothing we love more than delivering social change. And for this change to happen, we need the contribution of people like you, who are passionate about helping human rights defenders do their vital work.

We know our programmes work. With ISHR’s expertise, advocacy support and partnership, defenders like Nazeeha from Bahrain, Joshua from South Africa, Rajeeb from Bangladesh have testified at the Human Rights Council, strengthened networks of influence, or developed national level legal and policy change to protect LGBTI rights.

And this week, as we start the 2018 edition of our flagship Human Rights Defender Advocacy Programme, we know that the four LGBTI rights defenders who are currently among the participants will have new tools to deliver progressive change, too!

Big or small, your donation will help. Here’s how:

Your donation empowers LGBTI defenders to pursue their dreams – our dream – of equality and inclusion for all, without exception.
