The first report of the Group of Human Rights Experts on Nicaragua (GHREN) reveals the harsh reality that the population of Nicaragua is experiencing inside and outside the country. The report details the GHREN's findings regarding human rights violations and abuses perpetrated in Nicaragua since April 2018 and makes a series of recommendations to the Government and the international community to uphold accountability.
This side event, organised by ISHR, Race & Equality and Freedom House, aims at convening a public conversation between the GHREN and members of civil society, diplomats and the public interested in the situation of human rights in Nicaragua. It will be held in Spanish with English interpretation.
