Guide to principles of feminist leadership
This document, produced as an output of the Youth Champions Programme, organised by the International Gender Champions Secretariat, is intended to provide guidance on principles of feminist leadership, with a particular focus on how men can and should champion gender equality.
This guide is produced as part of the output from the 2024 Pilot of the new Youth Champions Programme, organised by the International Gender Champions (IGC) Secretariat. The Youth Champions Programme is an initiative to connect Geneva-based Gender Champions and young gender equality activists from around the world in a dynamic and reciprocal mentoring exchange.
The guide, produced by young gender equality advocate Sadeeq Abioye, a Programme Officer with the Gender Mobile Initiative in Nigeria, and Phil Lynch, the Executive Director of ISHR and an International Gender Champion, delves into the fundamental principles of feminist theory and explores how men can effectively apply them in leadership roles.
It aims to provide a framework for understanding and implementing feminist leadership, fostering a more equitable and inclusive environment. It covers key concepts, practical strategies, and resources to empower leaders to champion gender equality and create positive change
