Human rights defender's story: Neidoteh Boye Torbor from Liberia

'We should not allow intimidation to take us away from our work. If we seek local remedy and there is no way, we should be able to at least get to regional and international mechanisms that will compel governments to conform to our work.'

Neidoteh Boye Torbor is a human rights defender from Liberia and the chairman of the Liberia Coalition for Human Rights Defenders (LCHRD).

He told ISHR how the impacts of the civil wars in his country drove him to work towards the realisation of human rights and the establishment of an inclusive society for all Liberians.
